The Organizing Committee for the 2027 Chungcheong Universiade has embarked on finding differentiated marketing and promotion strategies to ensure the successful hosting of the games.
On March 27, they held their first expert committee meeting and discussed various ideas with experts in the field of brand marketing and promotion. Professor Kim Yi-jae from Gyeongin National University of Education and Professor Kim Jung-woo from Korea University were additionally appointed as expert committee members to strengthen the expertise.
Vice Chairman Lee Chang-seob and about 10 people, including academics and sports officials, attended the meeting. They explained the ongoing marketing and promotion projects and sought advice on the 2025 business plan.
The committee members proposed the following strategies:
- Utilizing various media platforms such as social media and YouTube to reflect modern sports marketing trends
- Maximizing revenue through attracting corporate sponsors
- Creating revenue-generating merchandises using the event's mascot and official logo
- Measures to protect the event brand and ensure sponsor rights

The 2027 Chungcheong Universiade is an international mega sports event where university students from around the world will compete. It will be held from August 1 to 12, 2027 in the four provinces of Daejeon, Sejong, Chungbuk, and Chungnam. Around 15,000 participants from over 150 countries are expected to compete in a total of 18 events.
